Tramel Fain was born and raised in East Tennessee. He relocated to the Louisville area years ago and has resided there since. Tramel received his Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science with a concentration in computer animation. He is a self taught painter and began drawing as a child, using the comics out of the newspaper as his inspiration. As he grew and developed into an accomplished artist he found influence in classical artists like Rembrandt as well as modern style artists such as Ernie Barnes and Kadir Nelson. He has created works using all mediums including paints and digital media. He has been commissioned to create, both public and private pieces. His painting, “Ms Joyner-Kersee” was in the 26th Annual African American Art Exhibition at Actors Theatre’s Roanne H. Victor Gallery. He recently participated in the 1st Annual Louisville Mural Festival in October of 2019. He has been the guest artist at Bourbon and B Sides events around the city of Louisville. Through his art, he creates pieces that show strong, confident figures and strives for his art to project a certain peace, love of nature, and an overall spirit of respect and love that can be cherished and shared for many years. The mural “Musical Vibes” is about coming together through the arts and music. I think music resonates with all ages and cultures. Music is about our lives and how we deal with relationships. We can take from that we share some of the same simple common goals like love and happiness. I used bright colors and different ages groups, coming through and vibing with each other through music.
